Who we are

ChurnLogic ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that helps users plan and track credit card applications. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ChurnLogic app and website (churnlogic.app).

What data we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name you choose.

Profile preferences. Spending patterns, reward program preferences, annual-fee tolerance, credit score (if you enter one), and focus preference (travel or cash back).

Card & application data. Cards you add, open dates, linked accounts, spend entries, and bonus trackers you create.

Credit report data. If you import a credit report (PDF or JSON), parsing happens entirely on your device. Only the structured output (account names, open dates, summary statistics) is synced to the server so it works across your devices.

First-party usage events. We record basic in-app events (e.g. screen visits, feature usage, apply-link taps) along with your platform (iOS/Android) and app version. These events are stored in our own database — we do not use any third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).

How we use your data

• Generate personalized card recommendations and timing plans.
• Send deadline notifications (MSR, annual fees, 5/24 drops).
• Sync your data across devices via your account.
• Improve the app based on aggregate, de-identified usage patterns.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database in the United States. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Row-level security policies ensure each user can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth and are never stored in plaintext.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not provide your data to credit card issuers, affiliate networks, or advertisers.

When you tap "Apply Now" on a card recommendation, you may be directed through an affiliate link. The issuer or affiliate network sees that you arrived via our link, but we do not transmit any of your ChurnLogic profile data to them.

Affiliate links

ChurnLogic may earn compensation when you apply for a credit card through links in the app. These links do not change the card's terms, bonus, or annual fee. Affiliate relationships do not influence the recommendation algorithm — cards are ranked by estimated value, issuer eligibility, and your stated preferences.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen inside the app. Deletion permanently removes your profile, all card data, spend entries, linked accounts, bonus trackers, and usage events. This action cannot be undone.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed via cascading deletes. We do not retain backups of individual user data after deletion.

Children's privacy

ChurnLogic is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to request a portable copy. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. EU/EEA residents have rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@churnlogic.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or email. Continued use of ChurnLogic after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
