Getting started with ChurnLogic
This is the hands-on walkthrough: what to tap, in what order, and what each part of the app does for you. From a standing start you'll be set up in about ten minutes, and from then on ChurnLogic does the tracking so you don't have to.
In one sentence: ChurnLogic turns the spreadsheet-and-memory approach to credit card rewards into a system that knows your 5/24 status, tells you the single best card to apply for next, and guards every minimum-spend deadline and annual fee so you never leave money on the table.
Create your account
Use ChurnLogic on the web at churnlogic.app, or install it from the App Store or Google Play. Sign up with your email (or a one-tap email sign-in link), and pick what you care about: travel points, cashback, or specific loyalty programs. On mobile, you can turn on Face ID or fingerprint lock in Settings.
Why it matters: Your account syncs across web and phone, so you can plan on a big screen and check deadlines on the go. Setting your goals now makes every recommendation personal from day one.
Add the cards you already have
This is the most important step. Add each card you currently hold and roughly when you opened it, three ways: Quick Add (pick a card, set the open date), Card Setup (walk your whole wallet at once), or Import Credit Report(upload a PDF and it auto-detects everything). Don't worry if you only remember the month or year, ChurnLogic handles imprecise dates safely.
Why it matters: Your open dates are what drive everything: your 5/24 count, which issuers you're eligible for, and when each slot frees up. Get these in and the whole app comes alive. (Detail: adding cards.)
Read your dashboard
Your home screen leads with four numbers: your 5/24 status(how many personal cards in 24 months, and whether you're at Chase's limit), your open cards, your action items, and your next 5/24 drop date. Below that is the action feed: a prioritized to-do list of what needs attention now.
Why it matters: Instead of a static dashboard you have to interpret, the action feed tells you the next thing to actually do, color-coded by urgency.
Get your next-card recommendation
Open Recommendations. The top card is your single best next application, with the reasoning shown; below it is a sortable table of every other card with its bonus, fee, estimated value, and net first-year value. Cards you can't get yet are marked blocked with the exact reason and the date the block clears. When you're ready, tap Apply.
Why it matters: You only ever see cards you're actually eligible for, ranked by real dollar value to you, so you don't waste an application (and a hard inquiry) on a card that would be denied. (Detail: how the engine works.)
After you apply, let it track
Once approved, mark the card as opened (or add it). If it has a signup bonus, ChurnLogic creates a spend tracker automatically. Log your spend against it on the Spendscreen and watch the progress bar; as the deadline nears you'll get warnings with the exact dollars and days left. Later, when the annual fee approaches, the app surfaces your keep / downgrade / cancel options.
Why it matters: Missing a minimum-spend deadline by one day forfeits the entire bonus, and forgetting an annual fee can cost hundreds. This is the tracking that actually protects your money. (Detail: what happens after you apply.)
Make it a weekly habit
You don't need to open the app daily. Check the action feed once a week, and let notifications tell you when a deadline, fee, or 5/24 slot needs you. The Timeline shows your whole year at a glance so you can plan your next application.
